This is the awesome poster for our 11/17 show with Slow Skate and Agent Ribbons.
Jill Labieniec made it, and we love it!

This show is not to be missed… Slow Skate is delicious, Agent Ribbons are a rarity (they’re from the Bay Area), we always have a great time at the Sunset, and this is our last scheduled show of 2009!
…that’s no excuse not to rock.

Diving high in Fremont. Which is probably the only sort of diving in Fremont.
We always have a great time playing with the excellent Ghost Lobby, and we’re super excited to share a bill with Half Light, about whom we’ve heard great things.
This is all a bunch of good news, and we’ll top it off with another new song. What does it sound like, you ask?
You’ll just have to come to the show and hear it for yourself.
It’s been pointed out to us that Hannah Levin (in her writerly capacity over at the Seattle Weekly) wrote a nice little preview about us prior to our show last Friday, and we wanted to pass it along!
Here’s an excerpt (okay, okay… most of the post) for ya:
“Tonight, it’s a promising 6-piece collective called Manos de Plata whose sound weaves chamber pop with subtle, psych-tinged threads and occasionally descends into full-tilt, Radiohead-channeling rock. “
– Hannah Levin, Seattle Weekly
Hooray for us, and many thanks to Hannah for her kind words. The show was great (and packed), and it seems like folks can’t get enough of the new material we’ve been slangin’. We can’t wait for the next show!
P.S.: 10/15 at the High Dive!
Here’s the freshly minted poster for our upcoming show at the Blue Moon.

Our 10th show!
We’re happy with the poster, we’re stoked about the lineup, and you are stoked because of the poster, the lineup, and the fact that we’ll be premiering a new song! Do not miss out!

Hi all,
We’ve got a brand new website, with a brand new blog!
As you’ll see below, all of the previous posts are dated within a day or two of one another. This is as a result of us transferring them from an older (and decidedly less friendly) blog that has now gone the way of the dodo. You’ll note that we’ve added the original dates to the bottom of each post for the sake of posterity, and all posts going forward should be dated correctly. (UPDATE: FIXED!)
In any case, please take a look around – we’re willing to bet that there’s some stuff here that you haven’t seen before, and there will be more to come!
Cheers,
MDP
